9 frozen
strawberries
1 ¾ to 2
cups frozen blueberries
1 frozen
banana cut in 2 or 3 pieces
1 ¾ to 2
cups cold apple juice
2 scoops
Spiru-tein Cookies & Cream Protein Powder
On a large
plate, microwave frozen strawberries for 1 minute. Add blueberries and banana to the plate and microwave for
about 20 seconds more. In a large
blender, pour apple juice. To blender add
half the still mostly frozen fruit.
Scoop the Spiru-tein on top of fruit in blender and then put the rest of
the fruit on top of the Spiru-tein. Using
highest setting of the blender with top on start machine; remove top and stir
the contents of the blender while it is running being careful not to stir so
deeply that you touch the whirling blade; make sure you scrape all the powder
off the sides of the blender while you are stirring. When contents are thoroughly blended, pour
smoothies into tall glasses and enjoy sipping with a big straw. Note: The more frozen the fruit the thicker and colder the smoothie will be. If you like a thinner smoothie simply add more apple juice or thaw fruit longer.
