APPLE GLAZED PORK CHOPS

4 Grannie Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 onion, small diced
2/3 cup apple juice
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
salt and pepper
4  pork chops
flour for dredging pork chops
Saute apples in a small amount of butter until tender but not mushy.  Season pork chops and dredge to coat in flour.  Brown pork chops in a small amount of butter over medium heat.  Remove them to a platter.  In the same pan, saute onions in a small amount of butter, adding 1 1/2 T. flour while sauteing.  Do not brown onions.  When onions are soft, add brown sugar, apple juice, cinnamon, salt and pepper to taste and stir to create a thick sauce.  Place pork chops in baking pan and top them with apples.  Pour sauce over the top.  Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until pork chops are done.
